![]() PS, when they say the hottest bands, they mean the HOTTEST! 19 janvier New Tech Blog... errr sort ofOne of my main passions is video games, talk to me anything about video games and I light up. So I made a separate Blog for video gaming.
It's found right here: http://deadaimgames.spaces.live.com
It's still under construction so changes are bound to be seen, quite often 16 janvier Round the World I GoOne of the fun things I get to do at work is to look around Wikipedia and study a country's geography; how it's divided up into regions, provinces, the cities, the districts and others. Take my favorite country to visit to, Japan. It's been divided into several large regions, and then subdivided into prefectures where it's further divided up into cities (ow, info overload!)
The nice thing about it is I do get to research and sometimes even memorize the name and location! 4 janvier Welcome to the SocialI now have my Zune I ordered last Christmas for my own Xmas/Birhtday present, and I am happy to say I am satisfied even if it has some stuff lacking/uncool in the features department.
I am satisfied primarily I have bought something worth my hard earned money from work (@ $250 -> Php12800.00 est) and it's cost to feature ratio is nice, if not better than that what the iPOD offers. The Zune comes in:
1.) Scratch Proof body (I tried scratching the surface with my nails, the primary enemy of iPODs)
2.) Built in Radio (I listen to 89.9 in the morning, nuff said)
3.) Built in Wifi (Social connectivity with other Zune users like Sir Jojo)
4.) A large 3" QVGA monitor (really nice for watching anime, now I don't need to squint much when reading the subtitles!)
5.) A modest battery life.
6.) A solid construction (feels like I'm holding a brick, a rock solid brick)
7.) A very user friendly interface and controls (even my dad knows how to use it, given his err difficulty with technology)
Though there are some turnoffs.
1.) I had to delete the default music (bundled in) when I installed it over my PC (but I can always retreive them from the Zune website)
2.) The Wifi's a double edged weapon, Though it connects with other Zunes, the shared music is kinda limited, it more or less works like a sampler pack for those who want to listen to your wares (if you're an indie band member). Of course you can still send the music to others, that's why we have the PC and the internet (like duh!). And it's in the interest of following the RIAA's ruling on music licensing (sigh them again).
3.) Well one turn-off here is that my Zune isn't supported in my country (Philippines yet) so all other accessories I would need to have them ordered in the US. (I need a car charger and radio connector, and a video cable too).
4.) Also the Zune cannot be used as a Hard disk drive. To me it doesn't matter since I store my data separately on a another device. Though there's unofficial hacks that can turn the Zune into a portable hard drive as well.
To put my article to a close, to those who would want a different player, or be different from the crowd, I'd suggest getting the Zune. It's easy for new users to pick up and the bare necessities are all in there.
Did I mention the box is mighty strong? :P |
