28 octobre Vanity, oh vanity!!Right now, I'm looking at my room (while typing) and I seem to notice 2 things: I don't have a gaming console, and I seem to lack storage space.
Right now, I've got heaps of stuff (books, PC games, and other stuff strewn all over my work desk... what work desk!?!) and my left side has inconceivably, ugly appearance of my other shelves and old TV rack that has been peeling its faux wood-grain finish. Add to that a book cabinet's that itself is crammed by old books and magazines.
And of course, there's my busted PS2 on the corner, gathering more dust, and I want to give my old PS1 to my sisters since I lack the taste of playing games there (a-bit), except for a few picked games of mine hehehe.... then there's the TV!!!
But well, next week, I'll probably go to the mall and this time take a look at those do it yourself furniture. I chose to pick that over made furniture because of several things:
1.) Delivery, those blasted security guards are making cash off those delivery vans that enter our village, since other villages are along the way to ours.
2.) Weight, I find carrying the made furniture a hassle up to my room, considering the fact I need a big, wide and spacious bookcase/tv rack/game console rack for me.
3.) Assembly, I like doing it. It keeps me preoccupied. 25 octobre Big heaping task of the week! (or should have been)Tomorrow, my work partner/mentor will be off for training, which leaves me to handle majority of his tasks, involving doing the testing of our project's components being sent to us by our onshore partners. I can't go through the details, but I'll be doing most of the heavy testing within a tight schedule, unlike last week when I was given simpler/lesser amount of tests to conduct.
I guess it's high time to step-up to the plate and do some batting.
Though to my surprise yesterday morning, there wasn't that much to test at work :P 15 octobre Gone MallingAfter today, I'll swear I'll cut back on my spending.
Today like all othe 15th and 30th payday weekend, I trooped over to the nearest mall that has the big letters SALE written out in front of the facade to buy some of my most coveted stuff. The first stop-over was a small book / coffee exhibit and I took home 2 hard bound books from Reader's Digest on: How Stuff Works (kids) and an Almanac (I like looking up on maps). They were almost or more than a decade old, but books are books and I can still learn something from them. :D And they were sold at a whopping 75% off!
Then I went around the mall's Computer area and asked for PS2 prices (I'm looking forward for my new PS2... soon *nudge*nudge wink* wink*) And looked at my suki Datablitz to check if they have the new games I was waiting for. I also went looking around for a DVD Burner at the various shops, since I had to upgrade my family's computer (SEIGHART) this year, it's already 2 years old and needs some upgrading. And I also found an Asus Heatsink and Fan for processors. I'm figuring out if it will fit my computer (BAHAMUT) since the processor I have requires a better cooling system now.
After a hearty... and very delicious lunch, I headed next to the big toy store in the mall and see if I can score a new Gundam Model. I was able to get myself a Murasame mobile suit model (somewhat uncommon to find these days).
A quick lesson: always widthraw just the right amount of cash so I won't be using up my 1/2 month's pay! The secret to better tasting Chocolatte!Well to those who've been spoiled by the infamous Nescafe coffee/chocolate "vendo" in our offices, and have fallen in love with the oh so creamy taste of the Chocolatte drink Here's a sure fire way of making one (at home) or when you get deployed to an office that has stocks of the ingredients, but no vendo around to make one for you.
Just a sidenote: You'll be surprised how much Milo we'll be consuming.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons of Coffeemate
5 tablespoons of Milo
1 tablespoon of Sugar (to make it sweet)
and enough hot water to fill your mug!
Mix 'em all together (with your plastic stirring rod), vigorously until it begins to froth (yeah like whipped cream).
And enjoy your drink! 3 octobre next mission... raid 6750!Lol, my assignment for my office puts me inside 6750. All I can say is my work involves with the words Achtung! and Vertrag, and what else? Ah. Manager (wow it isn't actually an English at the start!)
Plus I'll be very close to Microsoft Office. Hehehe XBox and DBD nights! |
