My Friendster account got hacked!

Well the invevitable happened. I haven't been actually keeping my account secure this past 3 years and had the same 6 letter password all the while, so it got hacked. Too bad, the hacker was a noob, and he barked up the wrong tree, which for that he's going down, waaayyy down.

The Philippine Flag in a racing Game

Now this picture's been sitting around in my hard disk for quite some time now, so I'm posting it here.

To those who've been playing Need for Speed Carbon, at the downtown area, there's a hotel with several flags, and one of them has the Philippine Flag.

I wonder, if it's possible a Filipino did manage to get in EA. cool. lucky, lucky guy

Cool Shoes

Right after the Microsoft Techfest last Tuesday, I spent some time at Ayala Center (Makati's largest shopping center) and headed for a shop called Shoe Salon where they sell lifestyle shoes from known companies like Adidas, Nike, Puma and others. I was looking for a new pair of sneakers to wear for my weekend breaks, since my old pair of Fila shoes were worn and old already (and my other shoes were already in an advanced state of decomposition :D)

So there I was picking out a couple of brands and their designs. I went for the minimalist approach, something that describes me, spartan, bare necessity, but still having a bit of class. So I got two brands to choose from (Nike and Puma, while Adidas were out of my budget) The Nike shoes were not of my size, so I went for Puma instead.

And after trying out 2 pairs, I chose the Munich style, which closely resembles the shoes the characters in Wild Striker (anime)

I used my debit card to pay, credit cards aren't in yet with me, maybe next year.

Right now, you can view my shoes here: http://www.sneakerhead.com/34270105.html
* Though mine's an all black with white band design.

Of being late and the blasted coding scheme

One thing I really hate in this city of ours is the implementation of the Color Coding Scheme. It's kind of restraining to car owners who only have a single car to drive to and from the office everyday (plus the fact that these car owners usually spend Overtime the night before).

I experienced that problem this morning. I woke up a bit late since I got home from the office late last night, and managed to get out of the house almost 30 minutes before the color coding scheme (a scheme of banning selected vehicle plate numbers during the week) took effect. Well I was stuck in slow moving traffic (which is a pain in the ass, everyday I leave the house). Almost 7am, I took a quick detour to my old haunt, a local Internet/Gaming Cafe near my old school.

There I managed to hook up to my boss and inform of my tardiness, as well as any back-up stuff I could do - out of the office. I spent around 2 hours waiting for the ban to lift so I can open up a window to get to the office as soon as I could.

But before that, I went to KFC and got me my lunch.

Cool new Desktop Theme!

Right now, I'm enjoying this sleek new dektop theme for Windows XP, released by the guys from Zune.net, the homepage of the Zune multimedia portable player out in the market right now.

The main color of the theme is black, as in similar to the Vista Black desktop color, not to mention the sweet looking red colored close button in the upper right corner of our windows. Accompanying black is the color orage, and it's minimally used, making it quite prominent in the entire screen actually

The file can be downloaded at the Zune link here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=75078
Or you can look for it in the Zune Official Website: http://zune.net
